Mark & Sarah, Finchampstead

We were introduced to Jonny by our garden designer, as we were redesigning an area of garden that included a well.

We had the traditional round brick base wall around the well but needed a roof. It had sat for over four years with a temporary wooden pallet on top that was in danger of becoming permanent!

Rather than the traditional materials, Corten Steel was suggested by our garden designer and Jonny was recommended to create this.

Jonny came to site for a meeting and was both professional and enthusiastic for this unique project.

We immediately felt we could work with him as he is knowledgeable, but focused on getting what the customer wants and ensuring it looks right.

Having taken loads of photos and measurements he went away to build a scale model to be sure we were happy with the design.

Whilst working on this, he had another design idea and contacted us to discuss. This was to echo part of the roof design of our house, an idea we loved.

The mock up gave a great indication of how it would look. We asked Jonny to include the shape of the railings on our staircase (which is also replicated in our gates) into the design for the openings and he was more than happy to do this.

He also included metal hooks for a hose pipe and power cable for the pump, to boost functionality.

We are extremely happy with the finished item, after a few months it has coloured beautifully and looks amazing.

Jonny then had the idea to make bull rushes out of the cutouts from the sides for our pond and reed areas. This was an inspired use of the shapes and they too look amazing.

We cannot recommend Jonny highly enough. He is friendly, easy to work with, enthusiastic and incredibly talented. If we need anything else in the future we will definitely be working with Jonny.
